Running August 28th to September 7th, Founders Week is a celebration of the Fathers of Confederation. History and hospitality will walk hand in hand as we commemorate the 23 leaders whose goodwill and strong vision led to the creation of Canada in 1867.
The week will kick off in a big way as Canadian music superstar Shania Twain takes the stage in Charlottetown August 30th. This will undoubtedly be one of the biggest and most exciting concerts in Atlantic Canada.
There will be plenty of “tall tales” to tell when the Tall Ships sail into port in Charlottetown August 28th to 31st, and then Summerside August 31st to September 1st. Take a tour of these majestic ships of old and watch the always stunning Parade of Sail as the vessels make their way out of the harbour. The week will also have plenty of historical reenactments, fun, food, and much more!
